Food, Faith, Family, and Finance – Let’s Chat Sis.

Hey, I’m B!

And before you roll your eyes and dismiss me as another plus-sized blogger, I just want to say that I haven’t done anything to qualify as such and I’m not sure that I ever want to be known as such, IT’S A LOT OF WORK SIS and I surely have enough on my plate.

I know you might be thinking, what is this about then? Well, I need some homies. Yep. I need some friends to share my journey with, so why not you sis? And I’d love for you to share your journey with me.

So, I’m a black woman, 37 years old (#VIRGO), married, Christian, mom of three and co-founder & CEO of a digital marketing agency, and I need to get my stuff together. I have narrowed down my hit list to four areas:

Food: Today, 12/6/2019 I weighed in at 360 LBS (Not the biggest I’ve been). I love food. I love to cook and eat it. I love to feed others and it used to make me feel better whenever I gorged myself on it. I really need to stop taking in food that doesn’t give me anything or takes me away from my goal. I need to get my stuff together.

Faith: I love Jesus Christ. I thank him for his sacrifice and for advocating for my eternal soul, CAUSE I AM A HEATHEN. This is not a blog that reflects a woman who has it all together. I’m a work in progress and grateful to God for his blessings. I rarely read the bible but I like to listen to scripture and holy music. This isn’t enough. I need to get my stuff together.

Why is everything so much harder to fix than it was to break in the first place

B

Family: I’m married and truth be told, I sometimes hate it here. Sometimes more often than not. I want a huge family of my own and my husband and I come from large families. We also have a blended family that isn’t working all that well. But we are committed to figuring it out. I am grateful for the upswing we are experiencing. This family stuff is hard but I need to get my stuff together.

Finances: Yes, I saved the dark lord for the last position, cause I heavily depend on my husband to do this for us. During our church’s marital group we learned that one spouse is a spender and the other is a SAVER. Thank you, Jesus, for my saver husband, but he can’t carry it all. I’m a smart, strong, independent woman. I can and will become more financially responsible and independently conservative. I need to get my stuff together.

So here is my plan. I have learned that when I do things with others, I am more committed and enjoy the experience more. I am a social person, who values my time and even more… ALONE Time. With a teenager and two toddlers, I don’t have much time to cultivate new friendships in person, so I’m opening up my life and journey to you in hopes that we can inspire each other, share tips and FINALLY GET OUR STUFF TOGETHER.
